WHAT IS LINE HACK 2023?

ABOUT MESSAGING API

LINE HACK is a hackathon for developers, hackers, and builders to come together and use LINE APIs to collaborate on and develop innovative solutions on LINE Platform. This event is open to both the general public and undergraduate students from universities in Thailand. LINE HACK has been held annually with great success and is known as one of the most exciting and intense hackathons in Thailand. Attendees will have the opportunity to create prototypes of new and cool services for LINE users.

LINE Messaging API offers a whole new level of interaction with users via LINE. The service allows you to engage in targeted, two way, real-time and automated communications with users. For more information, visit:

What are we looking for?

Back to Physical World - Create a better experience of services for everyone's life, encourage them to live their lives out home after returning to normal by using LINE APIs such as event management systems for concerts, running events, seminars, etc.

The hack must use LINE Messaging APIs.
Using LINE Beacon is a plus.
Can be mix of web, mobile and IoT developers.
Must come with a pre-formed team and idea.
Don't allow submissions that were previously received an award at other competitions or production launched.

What is Messaging API?

LINE Messaging API LINE Messaging API offers a whole new level of interaction with users. The service allows you to engage in targeted, two way, real-time, and automated communications with users. It allows you to create chatbots which can answer questions and give responses via LINE. You could ask for nearby food recommendations, for example, by simply typing the area you’re in. Then the chatbot would fire back with suggestions, ratings, and maps – as shown in the example below

No, we do not allow external people/observers to be at LINE HACK 2023.

No, there are no costs to attend. In fact, free food, drinks, and swags will be provided to attendees :)

What is LINE's selection criteria for entering LINE HACK 2023?

We consider submissions based on a combination of the following selection criteria: team strength, product/service idea, and overall service fit with LINE platform.

REAL: Is the solution practical and realistic, given the time and resources available?
IMPACT: How much of a positive impact could the solution have if it were implemented?
COOL TECH: How well was the solution executed technically? Effective overall use of LINE APIs and others technology
UX/UI: How was the user-journey and design of the solution?

No, we don't allow.

Who is eligible for student category?

Only current fulltime students, aged not over 23 years, according to date of birth on Citizen ID and currently studying at an academic institution in Thailand, or studying in a foreign country at an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education.
